Sometimes we have to remind ourselves how awesome God is! 😎

When I was a senior in high school I remember riding on the bus praying to God to fix it for me! I asked God to Bless me so that I wouldn’t be a financial burden to my parents my senior year. I had a job in Chicago Ridge mall working at Sears but I had lots of expenses such as graduation fees, class ring, luncheon, prom & the amount was over $500 and keep in mind this was well over 20 plus years ago, so that was a significant amount.

So I told God I needed a miracle because I didn’t want that pressure to be on my parents. Well God heard my PRAYER!

The next week while I was on my way to work, I was stopped in the mall by a talent scout and he asked me to audition for a national commercial ad. I looked at him strange but truthfully because he was Italian and offered to pay me on the spot for just auditioning, I knew he was perhaps the real deal. Then I noticed hundreds of people standing in line waiting to audition for the commercial.

The scout walked me to the front of the line, gave me $10 dollars and said I need you to read the line “I never have to wait for a sale”! Well, I said it thanked him for the $10 dollars 💵. The agent told me if I was selected, they would contact me later. I said thanks again and went on my merry way. 💗💗💗

Fast forward maybe a month later, on my way to Lindblom high school, I got on the bus 🚌 on 63rd st and people were looking at me strange! It was a few of my classmates on their way to school. They said I saw you on tv 📺. Literally, I had forgotten what they we’re talking about. I was really shy and didn’t even question what they were talking about. When I got home 🏡, my mother told me that her sisters from all over country was calling because they saw me on the Sear Commercial! My mother and I started celebrating because we knew something great was about to happen. That week I got contracts in the mail for television 📺 and radio. It was AMAZING!!!

I literally got thousands for saying 8 words!!! I learned the amazing power of the word residual. Which simply meant every time that commercial played, I got PAID! I got to do something that I never dreamed was possible and the awesome bonus was because the talent scout didn’t have me signed to a contract, I didn’t have to give any percentage of my money to an agent. Plus I got to be a member of SAG for actors and my money, came all to me!

God provided a way that every possible expense my senior year, I was able to pay myself! Plus, buy my little sister Tiffany anything she wanted. I never forgot we walked in the store and she wanted a Nintendo unit plus the games! She got everything she wanted plus I purchased her all new clothes. Plus, shared with my family!

I have many testimonies of God doing awesome things!!! I think we need to remind each other that God is still Blessing and in the Miracle Business!!!
