I love this quote from Nelson Mandela’s 1994 Inaugural Speech from Marianne Williamson because it embrace my own believe that Greatness is a Choice that is given to everyone & we have the option to use our God given talents to make a difference each and everyday! Enjoy!!!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
REALLY ENJOYED YOUR BLOG SPOT….I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK…
This is such a wonderful blog. It brings to mind, the scriptures in St. Matthew the fifth chapter. When Jesus, upon seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying (Matt 5: 14 -16),
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.
Your blog is an inspiration, that all of us should see and learn from. Love because of Christ, Elaina
